Maizy turns 7 Jan 2012

This is the first year we have let Maizy have a friend party, and she was soooo excited. We did it on New Years Eve morning over Christmas break and she had a great turn out. They had fun eating pink pancakes, decorating their own cupcakes, painting each others finger nails, and dancing around crazy. I think it was a success!

On New Year's Day, we did the family celebration. I think she enjoyed this party as well. She chose a Harry Potter theme and I did my best with her cake.

Jones Family Christmas Party 2011

The tradition continues with the party at Alleson's, and the kids are not surprised with the arrival of Santa, but it is a great tradition. It was great to get a picture of all the grandkids surrounding Ben sitting on Santa's lap!

Girl's 1st Dance Recital Dec 2011

The video of their dance recital is hilarious, but I can't get them to load...sorry! Zander was talking so loud and laughing that one of the girls didn't get a chair. For 3 years old, he really pays attention.

Lion's Club Santa

We have attended this event for 2 years in a row and it is great. The local Lion's Club sponsors Santa to come. Each kid gets a bag of candy and an orange. I hope this tradition continues...my kids love it!

Family Fun

Last Fall, we actually had a day off together, so we took the kids bowling. There is a first for everything, and this was their first time.

It was fun to watch them try to carry the balls themselves. I am just glad no one dropped one on their toes. We also had a animal balloon guy come to our lane and make balloon characters for the kids. Maizy is the only one who wanted a picture.

It is rare that Casey and I have much time off together, and this was one of those special occasions!

Halloween 2011

The kids had a fun Halloween celebration, and it was a great Halloween in regards to the weather...it was perfect! Zoey had a great time doing a parade for her Preschool.

Maizy, of course, loves her school parade (I still think they should go around town like we did when I was a kid).

We chose their costumes on clearance after last Halloween, so I am happy they were still content on what they had chosen a year earlier. Maizy was Princess Peach off of Mario Brothers.

Zoey was the cutest Little Red Riding Hood ever!

Zander was my big, strong Warrior Knight!

We also had the opportunity to go to my friend Cindy's house. She always goes overboard from the decorations to the take home gifts. My kids had a blast.

We grew our own pumpkins this year. Even though they didn't quite make it to orange, the kids still had fun carving and decorating them.

Fall Soccer 2011

My girls are loving sports...yay for me! I am hoping they stay active and love sports as much as I did growing up. The girls played soccer in the Fall. Maizy is loving it. Zoey loves chasing her shadow, but I think once she gets more involved and learns how to actually play, she is going to love it too. Just had to post a few pictures for fun.
