Tonight was my Anna's, my friend Jami's daughter, first birthday party. She was dressed to the hilt, of course, in a pumpkin outfit (love the tutu). Her party was a fall pumpkin party...so cute! Below is miss hostess with the mostest. Thanks for throwing a fabulous party J...you went way overboard as usual, but we love ya anyways!
Anna ended up throwing up on her cute outfit, and spent the next little while shirtless. Zander was teaching her how to hit 2 rocks together and make noise.
The fab 4 are all officially one now. They are all 15 days apart.
Evelynn was giving Anna her birthday kiss.
Jami made Anna her very own cake. It was adorable.
And Anna loved it!
Jami also made everyone else pumpkin cupcakes. Again, so freakin' cute! Seriously!!! Martha Stewart is her new nickname!
Anna is not spoiled at all. Nope, not one bit. Needless to say, she made a haul. Jami and Trav need a bigger house to hold it all.
At the end of the day, all you need to do with 4 tired babies is give them suckers and all is good!!!
So, since we are having the Wilde Family pictures in a little over a week, I decided to play with Maizy's hair to see what I wanted to do. I have never put curlers in her hair-mainly because I figured her hair would be stubborn like mine and not hold hardly any curl. She was so excited to have curlers in her hair. She didn't complain once and even slept on them all night long.
Oh boy, was I way wrong! The curl took and then some. MMmmmm...not so sure I want this for pictures. It doesn't even look like my Maizy. She did look cute and she loved it!
If you are my friend on facebook, the pictures are a repeat, but this is a slightly better description, so I hope you enjoy. It truly was a wonderful day to visit the zoo. It was sunny, but not too hot. I wish every day were just like today!
We got to see the cute new baby elephant. Absolutely adorable and so playful!
Maizy and Campbell had fun climbing on the rhinoceros.
These 2 bears were very active. I have never seen them moving around let alone playing...at least I hope it was playing!
The baby giraffe was also cute. It isn't as new as the elephant, but still cute as ever!
Wow, my kids all somewhat cooperated for this picture. So cute!!!
It is rare that we get to see the tiger as well, but today he decided to lounge in the shade right next to the window. He is a beautiful, but rather large animal. Glad he was behind the glass!
Here are all the kids that went today...minus Zoey. She refused to get in the picture. What a little stinker!
Zoey decided it was okay to join in the action now that her seat was unoccupied. Unfortunately Zander was sooo done with this scene!
This is a bad picture of the 3 new tiger cubs. They were lounging in the shade and this was as close as you could get. :(
We let the kids play at the playground for a little while. Zoey had fun on the teeter-totter with all the kids.
We have had a pass since May and have only used it twice now, so if anyone wants to go to the zoo, just give us a call!
Wow...can I just say I am excited to actually sit down! It has been an extremely busy week/weekend. It all started Friday. It was my lovely weekend shift, so I worked all night. Kids had to go to Grandpa's for a sleep over since Casey also had to work early Saturday morning. It was strange to come home to an empty/quiet house. Instead of laying down, I decided to stay up for a little while and clean so I didn't have 3 pairs of extra hands trying to "help". I was able to sneak in about 2 hours of a nap.
When the kids got home, we fixed dinner, and then I packed up all 3 to go to Brylee's first birthday party at the Clearfield Aquatic Center. It was fun, but oh my...NEVER AGAIN. If Casey would have been there, it would have been fine. But all 3 by myself in water was horrible. If Jami and Mandy hadn't been there, I would have just packed up and left! Zander didn't want to be in the pool, so he bawled. Zoey did, but even around the kid area, the water kept knocking her off balance and sending her face first into the water. I had to follow her around while holding Zander so she didn't drown. Oh what fun! Maizy is pretty self contained as long as she has a life jacket on, but she is not quite old enough for me to not worry, so I had to keep close tabs on her as well. I love being a mom, but the worrying is the worst! I finally left the party at 9:30-which meant we didn't get home until after 10pm. The kids and I woke up at 7am to bath everyone since they smelled like chlorine. We headed to Nephi without Casey (he had to work) to go to my nephew Roger's welcome home. He did an awesome job speaking...and surprisingly my kids did pretty well in Sacrament meeting. We stayed for a while and enjoyed a little food at Kirk and Andrea's house, then headed home. I got home around 4pm and had to frantically finish cleaning the house for Zander's party. It was a fun party. Lots of people came to help us celebrate his first birthday! After cleaning up, I crashed! Monday morning was the usual with the kids. I had to leave early Monday night for work since I had a meeting prior. I worked my usual 3 in a row. I unfortunately didn't get to go to bed Thursday morning after work since Casey had to leave immediately when I got home. I had to change and drive Maizy to preschool in Henefer. I decided if I went to sleep, I would probably miss picking up Maizy, so I went to town and got the "low" tire fixed, washed and dried the van, and finally took my post work shower (yay)! After getting ready, it was already time to get Maizy. I just continued in the same direction to Ogden. Picked up pictures of the kids that were taken a week ago (for Zoey being a beast, they didn't turn out too bad). Took them out to eat at McDonald's and let them play. Took Zander to his doctor appointment, and hit Costco before heading home. Mind you, it was 5pm when I got home-I didn't hit the pillow until after 9pm. The chaos continued into Friday. We had an entire bushel of peaches, a half of a huge zuccini, and fresh tomatoes that NEEDED to get used or they were going to be bad. Friday involved: making 4-double batches of peach/pineapple freezer jam
1 double batch of strawberry/raspberry jam
2 loafs zuccini bread and a pan of peach crisp
batch of fresh salsa
We ran out of supplies to finish, so Saturday involved: 3 more double batches of peach/pineapple jam and 1 more double batch of strawberry/raspberry jam.
I can't believe it has been a year since I had my cute boy! Wow is all I can say. It has been a very busy year, but I have enjoyed it (even though some of you may not think so!) We celebrated on Sunday the 13th even though his birthday was not until Tuesday the 15th. He had his doctor appointment on Thursday. Here are his updated stats: Weight- 28lb 9oz =98%ile Height- 31.1 inches=87%ile OFC- 19 inches=92%ile He is finally curving instead of climbing, so things are great! Way to go Bubba!
As you can tell, he loves food-cake included! He was hesitant at first, but once he got a few tastes, he dug right in. That's my boy!!!
Here are a few of his gifts. He LOVED each one for around 20 seconds and then got distracted. You have to love a one year olds attention span! Kamille and Michael gave him his puppy-which both Maizy and Zoey fight over.
Mandy and Hayden gave him the adorable lawn mower, which Zoey and Zander fight over. He has also been walking for between 2 and 3 weeks now. He is still figuring it all out, hence the bruises to the noggin'.
I have never seen such a cute sock monkey. My brother and wife gave this to him. He sleeps with it and loves it. So cute!!! Happy First Birthday Zander We love you
Today I was able to see my cousin get married. I can't believe she is old enough to be getting married. I babysat her when she was just teeny. Crazy how fast the time flies. I didn't think the weather was going to cooperate, but it turned out to be a beautiful evening. Congratulations to Seth and Krystal!
What a beautiful bride she made!
Below is Krystal with our Grandparents
This is Krystal's dad, Kirk, and her brother, Roger (who, by the way, got home off his mission yesterday). What a trooper. Welcome home Roger!
My cousin Jory with his friend Alita (I think this was it-sorry if it is not correct.) I am never good with names!
My cousin Jeremiah with his wife, Christiane, and their boy Haiden. Their cute baby is not pictured :(
My cousin Jessica and her husband Ron. Also their adorable baby Zachary. Ron is holding onto Zander-thanks for keeping an eye on him so I could take a few pics!
My family-oh what can I say! They never turn out great because I have naughty children.
My cousin Jason, his wife Valeri, and their cute baby Jocelyn.
My Aunt Evette (who flew in from California for the event) and her son Jordan who is a Freshman at BYU this year.
My cute Grandparents Carolyn and Roger.
It is pretty rare that we get a picture of my mom and her sisters as one lives in California. We have to take the opportunity when it arises. Youngest to oldest: Andrea (mother of the bride), Evette, Carolee, Robin (my mom), and Lesa.
I would say that my baby is officially walking. He has been practicing a lot and is getting to the point that he would rather stand up and walk than crawl. Yeah for me!!! I can't complain about my kids and walking. Maizy walked just a couple of weeks before her 1st birthday. Zoey was walking by 11 months, and Zander also a couple of weeks before his 1st birthday. Good job Bubba!
I'm a slightly OCD mother of 3 adorable, slightly devilish, children that I adore and am married to a great guy who is the love of my life. I am a pediatric nurse, gymnastics fan, volleyball player wanna be, and a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I love to scrapbook, but have little time to do so anymore.
