Update

So I figured that since the picture of Zoey's nose looked pretty bad, that I had better update. It is looking much better although still injured. The previous picture didn't include the black eyes that developed, but those bruises are now yellowing. She has been acting normal...which means naughty and a huge pain in my rear. LOL:)
I also never updated on Maizy and Zander's doctor appointments. They are of course bigger than ever. Zander weighed in at 16 lb. 9 oz. (78%) and was just over 26 inches (85%). His head (the biggest of all my kids) measured in at the 72nd percentile. My kids always make their own growth curves. Maizy weighs in at just over 40 lbs (84%) and is 43 3/4 (which is off the curve)...meaning Maizy is going to be tall. Big shock right? Zoey turned 18 months and we go to her doctor appointment next week. Another post to come.

Gymnastics

Some of you know that I am a huge fan of the UofU gymnastics team. I have always liked watching gymnastics (obviously I am not a gymnast), but never went to a meet until 7 years ago. Jami introduced me, and I have loved it ever since. It started with just the 2 of us, and our group seems to grow more every year. We make these our fun "girls night out" with fabulous dinners out on the town. Jami and I have also taken a girls trip annually to follow the team to Nationals. I have seen places I never imagined I would see (Lincoln, Nebraska: Auburn, Alabama: Corvalis, Oregon: of course UCLA in good ole Cale: Athens, Georgia). If we are able to go this year financially, we will return to Lincoln, Nebraska.
This picture is of the fabulous 4 babes that were all born within 15 days of each other. They are up and coming fans of the Utes!

Terrible Mother

My sweet little Zoey has been waking up several times in the middle of the night lately. Mostly because her cough wakes her up, but now that her cough is gone, she does it purely out of habit. Last night I took her back to bed 3 times. The 4th time she came in, she seemed to run into the bed. Both Casey and I felt the bed move and figured that is what happened, especially when she started to cry. We didn't think much of it, just pulled her into bed with us. She whined for a short period of time and then fell back to sleep. When we woke up, Casey brought her back into the bedroom and turned the light on to show me this.......

Oh my goodness! My poor baby. Now we know why she was whining. She must have tripped and smacked into the bed railing. Next time we will have to turn on the light in the middle of the night to check things out. Only a few hours later and it is already swollen and a little bit discolored. Ouch!!!

Busy month

Well, I'm sure the rest of you have had a crazy month as well, but it just seems like ours is never ending. As I previously posted, we have celebrated Maizy's 4th birthday. I can't believe I have a 4 year old!

It is also the month that Zoey turned 18 months. Wow, seems like yesterday that she was born.

And yet again, it is also the month that Zander turned 4 months old. Crazy I say!!! Doctors appointments will be fun with everyone getting shots...yikes!!!

We also are making great progress on the house. They are currently painting the interior and have the outside prepped for the stucco and rock. We are hoping to be in by the beginning of March...only a month and a half away. I can't wait!!!

Swimming party

So here are the promised swim pictures, although no one really had great pictures of my kids. I will have to take them swimming again soon and take some of my own pictures. The picture above is of Casey splashing as he came down the slide.

Here is Maizy just exiting the slide. She had a blast going down the slide. I can't even count how many times she went.
Here is Zoey with me and her Uncle Curtis. She was really hesitant at first, but as long as she was close to either me or her dad, she was okay. Casey wrapped a swim noodle and tied it around her...best floatie ever!
This is kind of a view of the group, although it didn't catch everyone. Maizy was very brave at the pool. She also took on the diving board. Thanks to my mom and dad who not only treaded water in the deep end to catch her, as well as others, numerous times as they jumped off, but they also manned the slide when all the kids were coming down. Thanks to everyone who helped make this a wonderful birthday for Maizy. She had a blast!!!

Maizy turns 4

Today, January 4th, my beautiful Maizy Kay turns 4 years old.
Maizy is a very adventurous child. She is too smart for her own good always getting into trouble, but very sneaky when she does it. She definitely keeps us on our toes. She has also been a great helper with Zoey and Zander. We are so blessed to have Maizy as our daughter. Love you Maiz.

She got spoiled rotten by everyone. This is a picture of her opening her Dora saves the mermaid video. As you can see she was excited.

She loves to color and draw. She received a color wonder set that she has already put to good use.

Here she is with her yellow care bear...the only thing she asked for. She celebrated with a big pool party yesterday. We had a lot of family and friends here to celebrate with us. I was swimming and was not able to take any pictures. As soon as I am able to obtain a few, I will post them.

Zander's Blessing

We were able to bless our little man at our house on Saturday the 3rd of January. It was so nice to have our family and friends present to take part. We are very lucky to have 2 wonderful girls and our precious little boy. I couldn't be more proud of each of them. Zander has been a fun addition to our house. He is an extremely good baby who is helping to teach the girls a little patience. He also has helped to add a little bit of variety in color (not so much pink and purple). It is a good thing we were able to get it done as his cute little tux barely fit. He is growing like a weed.
